Thicker shiplap cladding and a heavy duty floor are included as standard. The minimum height is 6'5" at the lowest point inside. Larger buildings include double doors with a unique galvanized steel threshold to suit motorbikes and tractor mowers. A pent roof design is also available at the same price with an overall height of less than 2.5m, ideal at sites where a low profile is required. The picture shows the standard 10' x 12' shed with no optional features.

SPECIALIST DELIVERY SERVICE:- These garden sheds are normally delivered by the fitters in dedicated vehicles. This ensures less damage and no delay between delivery and fitting. Most cheaper garden sheds are delivered by national carriers who normally deliver to the kerbside only. Carriers cause more damage and normally refuse to carry glass or large panels. Their prices are based on weight and panel sizes. As a result, garden sheds delivered by outside carriers are made in small and flimsy lightweight sections with less wood. The benefits of our specialist delivery service include less damage, larger more rigid panels and heavier construction.

FREE INSTALLATION: This garden shed includes free installation. Because of this it is better made than other garden sheds. Everything possible is done to speed up installation and minimize problems on site. The doors are factory fitted complete with locks and handles. Even the glass and glazing beads are factory fitted. The result is better quality garden sheds which are fitted quickly with few complications. Features of these garden sheds include careful construction with high quality components and fewer problems.

Apex ridge heights increase as the width increases e.g. the ridge height for 8' wide sheds is 7'11" external (2410mm) or 7'3" internal (2200mm) e.g. the ridge height for 12' wide sheds is 8'8" external (2650mm) or 8'0" internal (2440mm)
Pent roof heights are lower than apex roof buildings although the wall heights are the same - all pent roof buildings are less than 2500mm overall external height (8'2")

THICKER CLADDING: A feature of these heavy duty workshops is thicker ex 3/4" cladding with a finished thickness of 15mm. The use of thinner cladding with a finished thickness of 12mm is almost universal throughout the industry. With 25% thicker boards these workshops are more substantial and longer lasting. These quality workshops also feature higher grades of timber than others with fewer dead knots.
HEAVY DUTY FLOOR: A substantial heavy duty floor is included as standard. It features 2" x 2" pressure treated bearers spaced close together for improved strength with 18mm thick tongued and grooved moisture resistant particle board, which is similar to the timber flooring used in housebuilding. The heavy duty floor is exceptionally strong and suitable for storing heavier items such as ride on mowers and large motorbikes where a considerable weight may be concentrated on one or two small points.
NO BEARERS REQUIRED: The floor joists are pressure treated so separate bearers are not required, which represents a saving on the overall cost. The floor joists are the only part of the shed which is in contact with the ground.
HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION: A feature of these quality sheds is the heavy duty doors, which are fully framed ledged and braced with a good quality mortice lock and heavy duty hinges bolted through the door. A weatherproof galvanised steel threshold is also included to provide long term access for heavy items such as ride on mowers and motorbikes. The windows are also well made with joinery opening windows featuring morticed and tenoned joints. The glazing is glass bedded on silicone and retained with glazing beads. Another feature is the substantial framing spaced close together, which ensures a more robust and durable building.
LENGTH AND WIDTH: In the SIZES & PRICES chart the first dimension listed is the width and the second dimension is the length. The width refers to the angled gable wall. All sizes quoted are the external shed sizes unless stated otherwise.

RESTRICTED ACCESS: A quality feature of these sheds is that they are made in large rigid panels. If access is restricted, your shed can be specially made in smaller sections designed to pass through a normal single door. The smaller sections are designed to be at least as strong as the larger panels normally supplied. This option is not normally required for 6' wide buildings unless there are other obstructions. There is a charge for this option and notice is required with the order. For more details see "Other options".
MADE TO MEASURE: These sheds can be individually designed to suit your exact needs at little or no extra cost. Additional doors, additional windows and internal partitions are standard options.
